BrushingAn important aspect of grooming a horse that helps remove dirt, dry skin, grass and manure stains, and shedding hair. Handlers typically use a stiff-bristled dandy brush on the larger areas of a horse's coat. An assortment of medium-bristled body brushes can provide further cleaning, and a soft-bristled brush will remove dirt from the horse's head. After the application of a conditioner or detangling product, brushes can be used to smooth the tail and mane. |
